Just Watched: Karthik Calling Karthik Farhan Akhtar has always been one of my favourite film-makers and after he started to act, I was quite convinced that he would keep getting better at it. This film is proof to just that. In more ways than one, this is a basically a one-man show. Vijay Lalwani’s tight screenplay allows very little scope for error as you are drawn into Karthik’s very strange, yet lovable world. Deepika Padukone looks a million bucks and pitches in a decent performance too. The music and background score by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy is wonderful. All-in-all, this film is one of the better films to have come out in recent times, which makes it a must watch. Personal Rating: 8.2/10
