The cover of the first issue of RAVE, which came out in October, last year. RAVE is the newsletter of the University’s Student Activities Committee (SAC).
The picture used for the design has been taken by me, on the Nagoa Beach, in Diu, and the designing has been done by Hitesh. The actual photograph can be found here. Both of us are on the three-member editorial board of the newsletter, the third member being Asmita.
We’ll be coming out with our second issue soon. Hope it is better than the first.
The theme of the first issue was Inception, which should explain the presence of the “One Simple Idea” line on top. Yes, the film did have that big an impact on all of us. The issue can be read online here, and downloaded here.
This photograph of the Harmandir Sahib’s reflection was clicked early on the last morning I spent in Amritsar during my recent trip to Punjab. Clicked after I had to take a dip in the Sarovar, something that was a wonderful experience considering the water was rather cold. This is one place which anyone will fall in love with, after all, even an agnostic like me was in awe.
Took this photograph with my mobile phone’s camera three days back, when I had gone to Puri. I was quite surprised by the decent quality considering the fact that there isn’t good lighting.
When boredom is inevitable, people, at times, end up doing crazy and retarded things. I did the very same with the help of Paint.NET. I wasn’t involved in the conceptualization, by the way. Now, who can guess what this actually is? By the way, a similar image will be my display image on Facebook in a few days.
I have no idea why I did this around fifteen minutes past midnight. Was in my room’s pantry and set fire to random newspapers kept there for some random reason. I honestly don’t know why. I found it strangely enchanting, the very same feeling that I got when I wrote The Fire. Flames are a beautiful sight, something that I do not need an explanation for.
